Tokyo College of Sushi & Washoku, launched its first London campus and needed a brand that spoke to UK and European audiences while staying true to its Japanese roots. As the only UK college certified by the Japanese government to teach authentic Washoku, the identity had to balance authority with elegance. Partnering with Principal Masaru Watanabe, I developed a brand and website shaped by kanso – the Japanese principle of refined simplicity – delivering a clear, understated identity that set the stage for their launch.
